Healty Winter Hair!

I saw this on another blog & these 4 tips are absolutely right about your hair for the winter.
http://m.blogher.com/cold-weather-hair-care

1. NO WET HAIR
In winter, dry your hair before you leave the house! It really pays to get up half an hour earlier to blow dry your hair, or a couple hours to let your hair air dry. Of course, the time will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. And it’ll definitely be worth it to avoid the sneeze and snot fits you’ll have for days after. (I realize that the whole world isn’t an icebox during winter. If you can take a dip in the pool at this very moment, you can safely disregard this information.)

2. Protective Styles
Try wearing styles that don’t need much maintenance. You might be tempted to run your fingers through your hair and comb your hair throughout the day. Leave your hair alone! The extra manipulation can cause an increase in shedding as well as those annoying split ends. Styles like the top knot and fishtail braid will keep you from being tempted to finger-comb.

3. Hot Oil Treatments
Grab a single-use bottle at the beauty supply store, or grab some Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the cupboard. It will help heal your hair from daily wear and tear. Apply directly to damp hair, and put on a plastic cap and/or a hot towel. Hello, hair repair!

4. Deep Condition
Add some oils to your favorite conditioner, or purchase a dedicated hair treatment. Restore your hair of the nutrients that it loses in brisk temperatures. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, and let your hair be pampered.

Beyonce

The Queen B  released a picture on Instagram of herself with this short pixie cut. Viewers tried to say her hair stylist cut it off because of the years of weaves, color, wigs etc. but me personally I think she wanted to do something different.
Now The Queen B has a very sleek sophisticated blonde bob cut with dark roots! I love it ❤ I'm pretty sure B knows what she wants when it comes to her hair.

Pixie Cuts 2013

Pixie Cuts are one of the most popular hairstyles in 2013.
A pixie cut is a short hairstyle worn by women, generally short on the back and sides of the head and slightly longer on the top. Pixie cuts were popularized first in the late 1950s when Audrey Hepburn wore the style in her debut film Roman Holiday, and later in the 1960s by actress Mia Farrow and British supermodel Twiggy, then even later by Laugh-In star Goldie Hawn. (credit: Wikipedia.com) I think that pixie cut are very sleek, mature, & sophisticated. so if you want a new sophisticated look think about getting a pixie cut.

My Favorite is Charlize Theron at the 2013 OSCARS.

Clarifying Shampoo

Have you ever noticed that sometimes your hair feels weighed down, extra greasy, or just won't style  right? Have you been in a pool lately, and do you notice that it’s tough to comb or brush through your hair? That means its time to Clarify

Stuff builds up on your hair, all kinds of stuff. Hairsprays, mousses, and gels; hard water and mineral deposits; chlorine and chemicals from swimming pools; even the waxes and moisturizers in some shampoos and conditioners can leave build up on your hair over time. This build up can cause hair to appear dull, heavy, greasy, and limp. A clarifying shampoo can help remove those deposits, give your hair a fresh start, and restore shine.

Which Shampoo Clarifies the best?
Most professional product lines have a clarifying shampoo and their are many over the counter product lines. They all work the same. The Redken Cleansing Cream is good to use. Kenra carries a great clarifying shampoo that is gentle enough to use everyday and is color safe.

Your hair stylist may have a favorite brand, or may be able to recommend a clarifying shampoo that will work best for your hair type and situation.
